One patient called Steve Pake from Maryland had become very anxious and was filled with terror when he got to know that he had to undergo a surgery to cure testicular cancer. This had happened about 2 years before. It is a very common thing to happen with all the cancer survivors when they are cured. The whole treatment of cancer seems to be fully occupied with surgeries, smells, symptoms, etc.
It has been found that the survivors of cancer mostly develop a post traumatic stress that can be called to be a disorder and this happens usually when a person has been fully exposed to such a condition that could cause injury, death and some more dangerous issues of stress.
Some of the cancer survivors can also develop PTSD. It has been reported that one-third of the survivors were found to be affected by PTSD and this could make their conditions even worst in five year’s time. The research team found that the health care providers should have PTSD in the patients who are affected by cancer and this can even increase your odds of starving and it can also connect patients with mental health treatment.
Pake has become free from cancer for about four years but he is still battling depression and anxiety. Jodi Inverso of New Jersey also experienced some similar symptoms. Its treatment consisted of a long procedure of treatment like chemotherapy, radiation, hormone therapy, double mastectomy that had undergone reconstruction.
